View and Edit Modes

A view has two modes: an editor mode and a viewing mode. In addition, a view can be either locked or unlocked. Changes to the view properties and contents can be done only in the unlocked editor mode.

View Mode

The view is opened in the view mode when:

• Permissions are used and a viewer user opens the view.
• The opened view is locked.

Edit Mode

The view is opened in the edit mode when:

• Permissions are used and an Administrator user opens an unlocked view.
• Permissions are not used, and the opened view is unlocked.
