Accelerator productization level

14.07.2015 - 16:52

Accelerators have been classified to different productization levels based on how much work and expertise their installation, configuration and usage requires. There are three productization levels:

  • High: The accelerator contains only a few settings that are simple to configure, or the accelerator contains no settings at all. Not much effort is required for the configuration.
  • Medium: Using the accelerator requires configuring (e.g. in XML, JSON or HTML format), but programming skills are not required. Some effort for the configuration work should be reserved.
  • Low: Utilizing the accelerator requires programming skills (such as JavaScript or VBScript). Configuration may require considerable effort.

The aim of the productization level is not to describe how complete the accelerator development is, but how far the productization can be done for the purpose the accelerator is intended to.
