This functionality is available from 2021.7.
Image components allows to show a bitmap image in a dashboard. Formats that can be used are png, jpg, bmp, webp and gif.
The image is positioned in the center of the component and the aspect ratio is always maintained (i.e. image is not stretched). If the image is larger than the available space, the image is fit to the available space so that the entire image is visible. If there is more space than the image size, the image is not zoomed. If the image shows too small, change the image to have a larger resolution.
The image is stored to the dashboard definition, which will considerably increase the size of the dashboard. Thus, set the resolution of the image to be suitable. Too low resolution images look blurry, and too high resolution images take unnecessary storage and data transfer capacity without providing any benefits.
Available settings:
- Click the Select image button to open a file selector to select an image file from your local disk drive.
- Link target: If you want to make the image a link to other dashboard, define the target dashboard identifier here.
- In addition, there are the same layout settings available as in charts.
